Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LaunchCrowdFund (the "Platform"). By creating an account, launching a campaign, or backing a project, you agree to these Terms.

1. What LaunchCrowdFund Is

LaunchCrowdFund is a platform that lets creators raise funds for projects ("Campaigns") from members of the public ("Backers"). LaunchCrowdFund is not a party to any agreement between a Creator and a Backer, does not guarantee that any Campaign will be completed as described, and does not endorse any Campaign.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for all activity under it. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Platform.

3. Campaigns and Funding

All Campaigns on LaunchCrowdFund use all-or-nothing funding: a Campaign only receives funds if it reaches its stated goal by its deadline. Creators are solely responsible for the accuracy of their Campaign description, for delivering on any rewards promised, and for complying with applicable law in how they use funds raised.

4. Pledges

When you back a Campaign, you authorize LaunchCrowdFund to place a hold on your payment method for the pledge amount. Your card is only charged if the Campaign reaches its funding goal by its deadline. If a Campaign does not reach its goal, no charge is made.

5. Fees

LaunchCrowdFund charges a platform fee on successfully funded Campaigns only, as disclosed at the time a Campaign is created. There is no fee to create a Campaign or to back one that does not reach its goal.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, to raise funds for a Campaign that misrepresents what is being offered, or to circumvent any fee, review, or moderation process.

7. Termination

LaunchCrowdFund may suspend or remove any account or Campaign that violates these Terms or applicable law, at its discretion.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. LaunchCrowdFund is not liable for any Campaign's failure to deliver rewards, for any dispute between a Creator and a Backer, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to These Terms

LaunchCrowdFund may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
